Transit Alert – Ride transit to Husky home football games; see related reroutes near Husky Stadium

On Saturday, September 28, Metro will operate non-stop shuttle service from five
King County park-and-ride lots, as well as some extra neighborhood service on
regular routes, to assist fans to and from Saturday’s UW Husky football game.

Some regularly scheduled Metro Transit service will be rerouted in the Montlake
and Husky Stadium areas on game day. Kick-off is scheduled for 12:30 PM.

Husky fans riding transit are encouraged to allow plenty of time, as the streets
around the University District and Husky Stadium will be congested, and buses
and trains are likely to be crowded.

Except where otherwise noted, a valid full payment of fare is required on all
transit service, including Link light rail.  To save time and avoid lines at ticket
machines, note pre-payment options that include ORCA and the TransitGo
Ticket app.

Game-day park-and-ride service
Eastside P&Rs 
Metro operates game-day non-stop shuttle service to Husky Stadium from the
Eastgate, Houghton, Kingsgate and South Kirkland park-and-ride lots.

A $15.00 per person round trip pass is required to board non-stop Husky
Eastside park-and-ride service. Purchase passes at the park-and-ride lots prior to
boarding buses. Only credit or debit cards are accepted. Fans can also purchase
a season pass in advance for $60.00.

Transfers, regular service passes, ORCA cards and UPASS are not accepted on
P&R Husky shuttle service. Husky game tickets are not accepted as payment of
fare on any service. Children 5 and under ride free.

Redondo Heights Park-and-Ride
Non-stop shuttle service is also available from the south end, operating from the
Redondo Heights Park-and-Ride. However, unlike the Eastside park-and-ride
service, only season passes are accepted on the Redondo Heights service. 
Single-game passes are not available.

South King County service options 
Even though the free shuttle between the Federal Way/S 320th St Park-and-Ride
and Angle Lake Link light rail Station is not available this year, Link is still a good
option and provides direct service to Husky Stadium from Angle Lake, Sea-Tac
Airport and Tukwila International Blvd stations.

Renton area fans can ride Metro Route 101 from the South Renton Park-and-
Ride Bay 2, and Transfer to Link at Stadium Station for direct service to Husky
Stadium.

Fare payment is required on Metro Route 101, Link and all other regularly
scheduled service.

Link
Riding Link light rail is the best way to get from south King County, the Rainier
Valley, Beacon Hill, downtown Seattle and Capitol Hill to Husky games. UW Link
Station is located just outside Husky Stadium. 

For quick game-day service directly to and from Husky Stadium, ride Link from
any of the four downtown Seattle Transit Tunnel stations. The Link corridor is
further served by parking capacity at Tukwila International Blvd Station and Angle
Lake Station, and by Metro or Sound Transit bus routes at every station, that
make connections from many other areas.

Fare payment is required on Link light rail at all times. When using an ORCA
card to ride Link, please tap shortly before boarding the train, and again upon
exiting.

Transit reroutes for Husky games
UW Link shuttle bus 
While some regular Metro bus service is rerouted out of the Montlake and Husky
stadium area during the game, Metro operates shuttle service between UW Link
Station and Campus Parkway along NE Pacific Street. Buses are designated as
‘Shuttle’ and are scheduled to operate about every 10 minutes.

Regular service routing revisions
In order to accommodate game-related traffic, and to stay on schedule, regular
service trips on Metro bus routes 31, 32, 44, 45, 65, 67, 71, 73, 75 and 372 will
be rerouted during Husky games. 

While these buses are rerouted, Metro provides a UW Link shuttle bus to and
from Husky Stadium to connect with the rerouted service.  For many fans, Husky
Stadium may be within walking distance along NE Pacific Street or the University
of Washington campus.

Extra trips on Metro routes 44, 65 & 75 
Metro also operates some extra trips on regular service bus routes from the
Ballard and Lake City neighborhoods.

Fare payment is required on regularly scheduled transit service, including Link
light rail.
