Upcoming Green River Road SE road closure

King County, Washington sent this bulletin at 08/08/2019 01:00 PM PDT

The six-week closure of Green River Road SE, previously scheduled to begin on Monday, August 5, has been delayed. The closure is now tentatively scheduled to begin on Monday, August 26, but may need to be further postponed due to a delay in the acquisition of materials needed for construction. A Road Alert email will be sent once the new closure date is finalized.

The Green River Road SE closure will occur just south of S 277th Street near Kent and Auburn. A newer, bigger culvert will be installed to help preserve the roadway and improve fish passage. During construction, residents will still be able to access the Auburn Golf Course, Mary Olson Farm and the South 277th Corridor Trail.
