Transit Alert – Ride transit to Seattle area community & Independence Day events; expect some reroutes & delays

Transit service will be affected by multiple community events in and around the Seattle area on Independence Day, July 4, but even when there may be temporary reroutes or delays, riding transit is still a great way to get to local activities, where there is often traffic congestion and limited parking.

On Thursday, July 4, Metro operates a Sunday schedule, and Metro and King County offices are closed.

Metro offices, including the Customer Information phone line, and the Lost and Found and Pass Sales counters, will be closed.  If a Metro bus route does not normally operate on Sunday, it will not operate on Independence Day

On Friday, July 5, Metro resumes regular weekday operation and offices will be open.
