Transit Alert – Ride transit to or near UW, and expect some transit service reroutes and delays during the UW Commencement on June 15

On Saturday, June 15, from 12:30 PM until 5:00 PM, transit service will be affected in the University District area during the University of Washington Commencement ceremony.

During this time, Metro routes 31, 32, 65, 67, 75 and 372 will be rerouted and will not serve portions of the University of Washington campus and Montlake Blvd NE due to expected traffic congestion.

Expect possible significant delays to service in the University area due to increased vehicle and pedestrian traffic.

Even with the planned rerouting of some routes, transit is still a great way to get to and from the commencement ceremony.  Riding Link light rail is the best way to get from south King County, the Rainier Valley, Beacon Hill, downtown Seattle and Capitol Hill to the event. UW Link Station is located just outside Husky Stadium, the commencement venue.

Visit Metro’s Service Advisories page for complete information about revised bus service, routing and stops for planned events.  Transit reroute start and end times may be subject to change.

Visit Metro’s online regional Puget Sound Trip Planner to plan your travel, and for bus stop, schedule and other information, including predicted times at stops.

Thank you for riding and for using Metro's services.
