Transit Alert – South Park bus riders, ride Metro’s new South Park ESN shuttle to connect w/Route 124 in Georgetown

In order for South Park residents to be able to make connections with Metro’s Emergency Snow Network (ESN) Route 124, Metro has created the South Park shuttle.

South Park shuttle routing
The shuttle, operated by a large van, is wheelchair accessible, and starts Tuesday morning at 5:30 AM in South Park, at the posted bus stop northbound  on 14th Av S just north of S Cloverdale St.

It then travels via S Cloverdale St, 8th Av S, S Kenyon St, 5th Av S, S Holden St, the First Avenue South Bridge, East Marginal Way S and Corson Av S to S Bailey St just east of Carleton Av S, serving all regularly posted bus stops along the way, and where riders can make connections with Route 124 for connections either south or north and to Link light rail.

Heading back to South Park from Georgetown, the shuttle travels via 13th Av S, S Albro Pl, Ellis Av S, S Myrtle St, East Marginal Way S, the South Park Bridge, S Holden St, 5th Av S, S Kenyon St, 8th Av S, S Cloverdale St, and back to the stop northbound on 14th Av S just north of S Cloverdale St, serving all posted bus stops along the route.

Shuttle schedule
Because the shuttle is new and not in any information systems or apps, there is no published schedule.  When it operates it will be about every 30 minutes from 5:30 AM to 10:30 PM.

It is implemented until Metro routes 60 and 132 are once again able to serve South Park.

South Park shuttle fare
A valid fare is required.  Fare on the South Park shuttle is the same as for any other Metro service.  Whatever and however you pay when you ride Route 60 or Route 132 is how you pay on the shuttle.

South Park shuttle information
The South Park shuttle is posted in Metro’s Snow & Ice table.

Metro appreciates our South Park riders.  Thank you for your patience.

Travel safely.
