Let King County Metro know what you think at upcoming open houses, or online, about the proposed changes to north Eastside transit service

NEmobility

Do you take transit in Bothell, Kirkland, Kenmore, Woodinville and Redmond? If so, you’ve probably noticed a lot of transportation challenges that impact Eastside commuters and residents. It’s a topic I care deeply about as the King County Council Mobility Committee chair, as a Sound Transit board member and as a transit rider myself.

Since 2017, King County Metro has worked to respond to these challenges by listening to north Eastside residents about how to improve transit so that it is fast, convenient, and reliable. Based on this work, King County Metro recently released its proposal to update routes to make trips faster and more reliable, and to add transit services, like rideshare vans and on-demand services.

King County Metro wants your feedback at several open houses to finalize its recommendations:

  • Tuesday, October 23 - 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM - University of Washington Bothell Campus, North Creek Events Center, 18115 Campus Way NE, Bothell
  • Saturday, October 27 - 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM - Redmond Senior Center, Large Social Hall, 8703 160th Avenue NE, Redmond
  • Monday, November 5 - 6:00 – 8:00 PM - Kingsgate Library, Community Meeting Room, 12315 NE 143rd Street, Kirkland
  • Wednesday, November 7 - 6:00 – 8:00 PM - Kirkland City Hall, Peter Kirk Room, 123 5th Avenue, Kirkland

Your input is an important step to make these north Eastside bus improvements work for you and your neighbors.

Can’t make it to one of the four in-person open houses? Send your thoughts to King County Metro via the north Eastside Mobility project online open house.

Thank you and I look forward seeing what you have to say about the north Eastside transit improvements!

Until next time,

Claudia Balducci
