Some King County area transit service will be affected by community and construction
events and activities this weekend.

Transit reroute start and end times, routing, and other details may be subject to change.
Use regularly published timetables, allow plenty of travel time and expect possible
delays.

Even when it is affected by traffic, construction, temporary reroutes or delays, riding
transit and Link Light rail are still a great ways to get around our community and to most
local events and activities, where there is usually congestion and limited parking.

next transit service is scheduled or predicted at your stop.

Weekend highlights
SR-99 southbound between Battery St & Spokane St
From Friday evening, October 12 at 9:00 PM, through Monday morning, October 15 at
5:00 AM, transit service that travels south along SR-99 between Battery St and
Spokane St will be rerouted off of the Alaskan Way Viaduct. Northbound service will not
be affected.

WSDOT’s ‘Revive I-5’ weekend lane restrictions
Buses traveling on northbound I-5 between Martin Luther King Jr Way S and Olive Way
may be delayed or rerouted due to lane reductions associated with Washington State
Department of Transportation’s Revive I-5
project.

Transit riders should expect service delays on surface streets adjacent to this section of
the I-5 corridor.  I-5 buses may be rerouted to surface streets, causing delays, but no
changes to bus stops served.

Rainier Avenue at I-90 will be closed for up to three weekends in October
Metro routes 7 and 106
will be rerouted in both directions off of Rainier Av S between S
Massachusetts St and S Jackson St, and may be delayed due to construction of
Judkins Park Station for the Sound Transit East Link expansion.

Trailhead Direct – seasonal weekend service to hiking trails
The 2018 season for Trailhead Direct will end at the end of service on Sunday, October
28.
Three Trailhead Direct routes provide service to the
Issaquah Alps, Mount Si & Mt
Teneriffe
, and Mailbox Peak trailheads.

Riding Trailhead Direct requires payment of a regular Metro fare in both directions with
cash,
ORCA or the Transit GO mobile app.

Hike safely. Take plenty of water; let someone know where you are going, and be
aware that cell service availability may be limited.

Saturday, October 13

Puget Sound Heart Walk

On Saturday, October 13, from 7:00 to 11:00 AM, Metro routes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 10, 11,
13, 24, 26, 28, 33, 40, 47, 49, 62, 70, 131, 132, the RapidRide C, D & E lines, and
Sound Transit Express routes 522, 545 and 554
will be rerouted in the Belltown and
downtown Seattle areas during the Puget Sound Heart Walk.


Sunday, October 14
Dawg Dash
On Sunday, October 14, from the start of service until 11:00 AM, Metro routes 32, 43,
44, 48, 49, 67, 70, 75, 271 and 372 will be rerouted off the University of Washington
campus and a portion of 15th Av NE during the Dawg Dash event.
