Once the grinding and paving work in the business district is complete, the contractor plans to continue working south toward the Tahlequah Ferry Terminal and then move back north to pave the portion of the highway near the Vashon Ferry Terminal to Fauntleroy/Southworth. This work is anticipated to begin Monday, June 25 and entails daytime grinding work and nighttime paving. The nighttime work hours are anticipated to be 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. During this work, residents along the work zone may hear construction noise associated with the paving. The daytime grinding work is expected to occur from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. During the daytime and nighttime work, the road will be reduced to one lane with flaggers and/or a pilot car directing traffic. Parking within the work zone will be limited. Please see dates and times posted on the no parking signs.
