King County Council review of
2018 Comprehensive
Plan Update
Thank you for your interest in the King County
Comprehensive Plan. On
March 1, 2018, the King County Executive transmitted to the King County Council
the proposed 2018 update to the 2016 King County Comprehensive Plan as Proposed
Ordinance 2018-0153. The 2018 update
is a limited, annual cycle update, and will be focused on proposed changes to
the County’s comprehensive planning schedule and on the proposed restructure of
the Community Service Area (CSA) Subarea Planning Program.
It is
anticipated that the legislation will be referred to the Transportation,
Economy and Environment Committee for review over the next several
months for potential amendment and recommendation, with final adoption by the
full Council later this year.
More information about the Council’s review of the
proposal can be found on the 2018 Comprehensive Plan website. This website will be periodically updated as
new information and materials become available.
News, schedule updates, public comment opportunities, and meeting
notices related to the 2018 Comprehensive Plan will also be distributed to this
email list throughout the process.
Written comments on the proposed plan are welcome at any
time during the Council’s review. Comments
