King County is experiencing weather-related road closures in unincorporated areas. County road crews will continue to monitor roads and will post closure information as necessary on the My Commute map. Find out which roads in unincorporated King County are most prone to flooding.
Below is a list of currently closed roads due to water over the roadway:
-SE 24th Street between 308th Avenue SE & West Snoqualmie River Road SE
-SE Dike Road at Preston Fall City Road
-SE Neal Road at State Route 203
-SE David Powell Road at Preston Fall City Road
-308th Avenue SE between SR 202 and SE 31st Street
-324th Avenue SE between West Snoqualmie River Road & SR 202
-West Snoqualmie River Road between NE Tolt Hill Road & SE 24th Street
As a reminder, once rain has stopped it can take a couple of days or more for water to recede from roads before they can be safely reopened. So plan ahead and identify alternative routes if you’re traveling through flood-prone areas.
Another word of caution: Do not drive around road closure signs or through standing water. Driving through floodwater can cause your vehicle to stall or lose control, which can have life-threatening consequences.
