Greetings:
National Voter Registration Day (NVRD) takes place on September 22 this
year. Once again all of us at King County Elections want to make sure everyone
who is eligible to vote has the opportunity to register and participate in
future elections.
The drop in voter registration has been a frequent topic of conversation
in the past few years. It is troubling when
we know that low voter registration and failure to weigh in as a voter have
very serious consequences related to nearly every part of our lives. There are so many circumstances that require
decisions to be made in our communities, state and nation by people who voice
their concerns with their vote: education, access to transportation,
healthcare, creating opportunities for jobs, equity in our communities, the
quality of life we want for our elderly, and many more.
Join us for a day of action and awareness as we celebrate the fourth
annual National Voter Registration Day. Here’s
how you can help us spread the word and make National Voter Registration Day a
success:
-
Register
to vote!
-
Hold a
voter registration drive. See our guide
to registering voters for more information.
- Display
the 2015 National Voter Registration Day Poster on a work or community message
board.
- Read our Guide
to Voting in King County

us on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, and join us in

Register, vote and encourage everyone
you care about to take advantage of the most powerful connection we have to
impact meaningful change; our voice and our vote. If you would like hard-copies of the NVRD
posters or have questions, please contact Jacqueline H. Blackwell by
