New Grant Opportunity - Apply ASAP!

ADO Grant Social

Dear City of Kent Business Community,

When I began issuing updates for our grant programs in April I never imagined I would be continuing to do so in September, and I can only imagine the exhaustion and stress many of you are feeling with regards to your business during this time.

This crisis for small businesses continues to be difficult and tiring. I want our Kent businesses to be aware of each and every opportunity to receive assistance.

As the State releases more federal funding to all levels of local government, new opportunities for relief grants from the same CARES Act source as our small business grants become available.

The City of Kent, for its part, is allocating more than $2.1 million in CARES Act funds to our small businesses through our Small Business Emergency Relief Grant program. That application is now closed, but more funding means that we will be able to provide relief for all eligible businesses that previously applied.

While our application is now closed, a new grant application is opening from the Seattle Chamber of Commerce, in its official role as a King County Associate Development organization.

They are disbursing $580,000 competitively to all businesses and 501(c)(6) non-profit business/service organizations within King County. You can see updates on this program on the Seattle Metro Chamber Facebook and Twitter.

Your business can apply for a $5,000, $7,500 or $10,000 grant as part of the CARES Act through the Seattle Chamber of Commerce. These funds are likely to be disbursed quickly as this will be a competitive grant, so be sure to apply as soon as possible today.

The application will go live at 8 AM this morning, Monday September 14th.

Apply between Sep. 14 - 28 at https://bit.ly/3ihWBK1
