Metro Bus Route 372 Change
Effective Saturday, August 29 Metro Route 372 will be canceled and replaced with other routes. Kenmore City Council is opposed to this change and has sent a joint community letter comprised of elected officials, neighboring cities, and community groups to the Metro General Manager communicating opposition to this change.  Reach out to King County Council if you would like to voice your opinion regarding this change. Northshore School District Back to School
The first day of school for the 2026-2027 school year for most students is Tuesday, September 1. This means there will be additional traffic and school buses on the road in the morning and afternoon hours. With all the constructions projects around Kenmore, please use extra caution and patience on the road and plan your routes accordingly. In particular, the Arrowhead Drive Sidewalk Project, the 80^th Avenue NE Sidewalk and Bike Lane Project, and the Sound Transit Stride S3 Line Project will have notable construction impacts for pedestrians and drivers.

September Community Love Notes
In Kenmore, Community Love Notes are simple acts or gestures that engage, delight, and create a collective sense of place. Next month, there are two Love Note events for youth and families. On Saturday, September 5, support young leaders at the Kenmore Children’s Business Fair. The Children's Business Fair is an opportunity for kids of all ages to experience the excitement of starting their own small business. On Saturday, September 12, bring the whole family to Rhododendron Park for Step It Up Camp Field Day. This free field day gives kids a fun opportunity to get outside, be active, make new friends, and enjoy a day filled with games and activities.

Adopt a Park Volunteer Work Parties 
Most Saturdays of the month a group of dedicated volunteers, led by the Sno-King Watershed Council, work at Wallace Swamp Creek Park for habitat restoration efforts. Their tasks generally include clipping Himalayan blackberry canes, digging root balls, digging knotweed, digging other non-native invasive plants, and hauling mulch. They also plant native trees and shrubs during planting season. Join them this Saturday at 11am!
