State of the City of Kenmore Address Mayor Nigel Herbig presented the State of the City of Kenmore address to a packed Council Chambers at Kenmore City Hall this week. Herbig played off the World Cup excitement and shared “Team Kenmore’s” 2025 wins and season highlights. The presentation also included a look ahead to this next season and shared challenges, opportunities, and Kenmore’s playbook for success. 4th of July in Kenmore Celebrate our nation’s independence at our annual 4th of July Fireworks Celebration event. The event kicks off at 7:30 p.m. but be sure to arrive early to secure a spot at Log Boom Park to watch the 10 p.m. fireworks show. The event includes savory and sweet food trucks, arts, crafts, face painting, balloon twisters, lawn games, and a dazzling fireworks show! Skip the traffic and shuttle, walk, or bike to the event. Construction Project on 80th Avenue NE The 80th Avenue NE Pedestrian/Bike Project kicked off this week. Drivers travelling between SR522 and NE 185th Street should be prepared for delays. This project includes buffered bike lanes, sidewalk improvements, traffic calming measures, new crosswalks, and street beautification. Energize Kenmore Offers Savings for New Heat Pumps The City of Kenmore recently launched a new program that offers up to $4,000 in discounts at the time of purchase of a new electric heat pump. This is an incentive program to encourage residents to switch from oil or gas furnaces to electric heat pumps. This program is offered now through the end of the year or until program funds are expended.
