Celebrate Earth Day in Kenmore this Saturday, April 25
In celebration of Earth Day this week, the City will host a volunteer work party and an educational vendor fair, bringing the community together for a hands-on day of park beautification and environmental learning. Community members are encouraged to stop by the vendor fair, join the work party, and help celebrate Earth Day through service and shared learning. The volunteer work party takes place at Rhododendron Park from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. The educational vendor fair takes place at Saint Edward State Park from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Free parking at the north lot of Saint Edward State Park is available for the event. Keep Our Waterways Clean Through the Adopt a Drain Program

Happy Arbor Day in Kenmore
At the April 13 City Council Meeting, Mayor Nigel Herbig proclaimed April 24 to be Arbor Day throughout the City of Kenmore. Arbor Day is a time-honored tradition that celebrates the role of trees in our lives and promotes tree planting and care as a way to create a healthier, more sustainable world. 61^st Avenue Sidewalk Replacement Project Nears Completion
We are in our final stretch of this project with the last remaining sidewalk to be poured at the southwest section of 61st Avenue NE and NE 193rd Street. In addition, starting the week of April 27, an asphalt grind, overlay, temporary striping work will be done on 61st Avenue NE. There will also be three flashing crosswalks added for pedestrian safety. Drivers are encouraged to use provided alternative routes and can expect longer than usual delays during this time.
