The Kenmore Planning Commission is considering changes to zoning regulations that may allow small-scale retail, services, and commercial uses in residential areas. These updates aim to support more walkable neighborhoods, expand opportunities for local businesses, and bring everyday goods and services closer to where people live. Potential neighborhood retail uses could include cafés, small restaurants, corner stores, and mixed-use buildings that combine residential and commercial space. The commission is also evaluating appropriate locations and development standards, such as building size, operating hours, and parking, to ensure compatibility with surrounding neighborhoods.
The City of Kenmore is seeking input on proposed updates to neighborhood retail regulations. Your feedback is essential in helping shape these proposed changes. Kenmore City Council Meetings
City Council meetings are typically held at 7 p.m. the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Mondays of each month on-site at Kenmore City Hall and streamed virtually (when available) through Zoom and YouTube livestream. City Council meetings are open to the public and public comments are encouraged.
