Wrapping Up 2025 and Looking Ahead to 2026
As we wrap up 2025, we want to thank our community for a wonderful year and look forward to all that 2026 has in store. Here are a few year end updates:

• City Hall will be closed on December 25 in observance of Christmas and on January 1 for New Year’s Day.
• The Hangar will operate on updated hours over the holiday season. View the holiday hours of operation. 
• City Council is on recess until January 12, with Coffee with Council at 7:30 a.m. and a regular City Council meeting at 7 p.m. on that day.

Kenmore City Council Election Results Certified; Marshall Re-Elected to Position No.2
King County Elections has certified the results of the November election for Kenmore City Council Position No. 2, confirming that Joe Marshall has been re-elected following a close race that required a machine recount. Eric Adman will also be joining the Kenmore City Council in Position No. 6 in 2026. The City extends its appreciation to all candidates who participated in the election and engaged in Kenmore's civic process.

King County Flood Recovery Resources Available
With recent storms and flooding impacting communities across the state, King County has launched a one-stop resource hub to support safe cleanup and recovery efforts. Visit kingcounty.gov/floodrecovery for guidance on safely cleaning up flood debris, accessing debris disposal options, filing claims, and finding other recovery resources. The site provides a comprehensive roundup of tools and information to help residents respond to and recover from the extensive flooding in the region.

Kenmore Senior Center Creates "Fabric of Our Community" Art Piece
At Winterfest, the Kenmore Senior Center facilitated a community art project called "The Fabric of Our Community," inviting participants to choose strips of colorful fabric to weave together in a shared art piece. The piece is currently on display at City Hall, and community members are invited to stop by during regular hours to add fabric to the artwork and continue weaving the fabric of our community.
