Celebrate Earth Day This Saturday at Rhododendron Park
You're invited to Kenmore's annual Earth Day Celebration on Saturday, April 26 from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. at Rhododendron Park. This family-friendly event features crafts and activities, vendor and community booths, giveaways, and more! There will also be a volunteer work party in the park during the event with tools and instructions provided (bring your favorite gardening gloves if you'd like). Dig in and join this fun community event!

Planning Commission Presents Recommendations Regarding Middle Housing to City Council
On April 21, the Planning Commission presented their recommendations to the City Council regarding middle housing code amendments, including updates to accessory dwelling unit (ADU) regulations, and regulations for affordable housing. There will be opportunities for additional public comment and community input at the City Council meetings on May 5, and if needed, on May 12 and May 27. If the City Council makes significant changes to the Planning Commission’s recommendations, an additional public hearing will be required—tentatively scheduled for June 9. Final adoption of the code amendments is expected at or before the June 23 City Council meeting.

Register Now for the 3rd Annual Kenmore Quad
Register now to participate in the 3rd annual Kenmore Quad event on August 23, 2025! This unique event takes the traditional triathlon to the next level with an added paddling component (kayak or SUP). Take on this challenge solo or enlist a group of friends (up to 4 participants in a relay) for 1/4 mile swim, 6 mile bike, 1.6 mile run and 1.3 mile paddle. This event is not timed so just relax and have fun in this non-competitive community activity. Learn more and register today.

City Council Holds Public Safety Study Session April 28
The Kenmore City Council will hold a public safety study session during its April 28 meeting, including presentations from the King County District Court, Kenmore’s prosecutor and public defender, and an update from the Regional Crisis Response (RCR) Agency. The session will also feature a 2024 Police Services Report, presented by Kenmore Police Chief Brandon Moen. View the agenda with links to the presentations and meeting livestream information.
