City of Kenmore Launches Solarize Kenmore for Second Year

A program to empower residents with clean, renewable energy – now with added $1,000 rebate

Kenmore, WA - The City of Kenmore is excited to announce the second campaign of Solarize Kenmore, available now through July 4, 2025. This program helps Kenmore residents install solar panels on their homes and businesses. Residents can reserve a free solar assessment through the program website at SolarizeKenmore.org

New this year, Kenmore residents can receive a $1,000 rebate from the City to assist with solar installation costs. This rebate is limited to the first 40 contracts.

Solar energy has grown in popularity due to its many environmental and economic benefits. However, installing solar panels can often seem like a daunting process, with concerns over perceived costs, technical details, and selecting the right installer. That's why the City of Kenmore and nonprofit Olympia Community Solar are bringing back Solarize Kenmore this year. Last year the Solarize Kenmore program helped over 300 homeowners get free solar assessments, with many of them choosing to contract an installation. Olympia Community Solar’s previous Solarize programs have resulted in over 350 solar installations around the Puget Sound region.

Learn More at Upcoming Solar Workshops
The City is hosting two free public workshops on April 10 and May 21, both at 6:30 p.m. at Kenmore City Hall. During these workshops, participants can learn about how solar energy works, available solar incentives, and what to expect from the Solarize Kenmore program. Attendees will also be able to ask questions directly to the Solarize Kenmore team and installers.

Solarize Kenmore includes vetted local solar installers: Artisan Electric, Sunergy Systems, Puget Sound Solar, and Solterra. The installers were selected through a competitive bidding process based on equipment quality, business practices, and special discounted pricing.
