Kenmore Urban Forestry Community Open House + Take our Survey!
The City of Kenmore is developing its first Urban Forest Management Plan to guide the long-term stewardship of its urban forests. This strategic plan will outline how Kenmore’s trees provide stormwater management, carbon sequestration, and other benefits to the community and will identify goals and priorities for tree planting, canopy cover, and best practices for tree planting and maintenance. Community members shared many thoughts about trees during the Love Where You Live campaign, such as:
- A desire to preserve existing trees, especially native tree canopy
- Appreciation for the aesthetic and character of trees
- Support for tree preservation through ordinances
Join us to share your ideas and questions as we work together to realize the vision of a healthy, sustainable urban forest for today and future generations. All community members are welcome and encouraged to participate. Spanish interpretation, snacks, and children's activities will be provided.
Join our Open House March 26, 2025 6:30-8:00pm at City Hall 18120 68th Ave NE, Kenmore, WA

Solarize Kenmore 2025 Launches
Curious about Solar Energy this year? Solarize Kenmore is back again and open for enrollment! Sign up for this limited time program where you’ll get discounted prices, vetted local installers, and quality made-in-Washington equipment. Solar energy has clear economic and environmental benefits, but it can also feel like a daunting process: from perceived costs, to technical details, to figuring out which installers to choose. Solarize Kenmore simplifies the installation process with vetted installers and uses group purchasing to reduce costs.
New this year: The City is offering a $1,000 rebate to Kenmore program participants.
The City of Kenmore and Olympia Community Solar will host two information sessions: April 10 and May 21, both at 6:30PM at City Hall. Learn more about this program, rebate terms, and sign up for your free solar assessment at SolarizeKenmore.org.
