December 26 Snow Update
Dear Kenmore Residents,
It looks like we’re having a white boxing day! Several inches of snow accumulated during the night, and the roads have compact snow and ice. We have six snow plows out (3 City of Kenmore and 3 from Northshore Utility District) working to remove the snow, but an icy layer remains. Because the temperature is predicted to stay below freezing for the next several days, the icy layer on the roads will stick around.
Click here for a map of the priority snow plowing routes in Kenmore.
We will be working on our first priority roads, plowing and applying salt to try to break up the compact snow & ice. The arterials that have been plowed but are still compact snow/ice.
Stay safe! Please avoid driving as much as possible, including on Juanita Drive where multiple cars have already gotten stuck. If you have sidewalks in front of your house, please shovel the snow off them. Check on your neighbors and see if they need help.
Enjoy this winter wonderland, and happy holidays.
