Kenmore Free Curbside Meals Week June 15 – 18 will provide meals to residents, support to local restaurants and promote the 2020 Census
Kenmore, WA – Kenmore Free Curbside Meals Week will take place June 15 - 18 as an effort to support local restaurants, provide free meals to community members and increase participation in the 2020 Census.
Sponsored by United Way of King County, each day from June 15 – 18, a variety of local restaurants will provide 100 – 150 free meals on a first come first serve basis to community members. There is no need to register in advance and curbside meal pick up is open to the general public. Center for Human Services volunteers will be on site to provide information and assistance for completing the 2020 Census. In Kenmore, we know we are stronger together and everyone counts!
“We realize that the COVID-19 pandemic has severely impacted our local restaurants and that many residents in our community may be living with more limited incomes and facing food insecurities,” said Councilmember Corina Pfeil. “The Kenmore Free Curbside Meals week is a way for us to partner together and provide resources to restaurants and citizens while raising awareness about the importance of completing the census. I am so proud to see our community come together in such a meaningful way.”
