We are working hard to make our Downtown Kenmore more walkable, comfortable, and safe for pedestrians! Construction has started for our NE 181st Street Sidewalk Project (65th Ave NE - 67th Ave NE). PSE is there now doing gas relocation work and the City of Kenmore will be doing construction from April - June 2019. You'll see new curbs, sidewalks, planter strips, street trees, parallel parking stalls, curb ramps, lighting, and more! The large sycamore tree across from the King County library will be preserved with the project.
Puget Sound Regional Council wants to hear your input on the Draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement for VISION 2050, the region’s long-range plan for growth. Check out their page to learn more and provide input by April 29!
Distracted drivers aren’t just a threat to themselves, they’re a danger to everyone else on the road. You are 23 times more likely to have a collision if you are texting and driving. But there are other distractions as well! Do you eat, put on makeup, or just zone out with work worries? Next month is National Distracted Driving Awareness month. What things distract you while driving? Make a pledge now to keep both hands on the wheel and focus on driving.
