What are the Purple Lights at City Hall?
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month
This
month we join neighborhoods around the world to remember victims who lost their
lives, support those who survived domestic violence, and hope for those still
living with abuse. Each year neighbors show
their support by replacing their porch lights with purple lights. The City of Kenmore is giving away a
limited supply of purple lights. Stop by City Hall from 9am to 5pm to pick yours up today.
City Council is going to issue a Domestice Violence Awareness Month
Proclamation at their meeting on October 8th at 7 pm.
More resources and information can be found at https://www.thehotline.org/
or via King County’s domestic violence resource page.
