Head out to Rhododendron Park this Saturday, August 11th for Kenmore Play Day, a city-wide event that recognizes the importance of play in keeping children and families active and healthy. There will be obstacle courses, kite making, a scavenger hunt, crafts, healthy snacks and more! Details at kenmorewa.gov/events.
August 13 - Next Nature Walk
If you enjoy nature, join one of our free guided nature walks through Wallace Swamp Creek Park. On the second Monday of each month now through October, a volunteer parks steward will host 2 hour-long tour exploring two miles of paved and primitive trails through the 25-acre park. August 13 - City Council To Receive Lakepointe Project Update
City Council will receive an update on Lakepointe during an August 13th
meeting starting at 6pm. They will not be taking any action, just learning more about a financial feasibility study that was just completed. There will be time for public comments. If you aren’t familiar with Lakepointe, it
is 50+ acres on the Lake Washington peninsula southwest of the SR 522/68th Ave
NE intersection. As the last undeveloped land on Lake Washington,
Lakepointe offers a valuable opportunity for redevelopment and economic
growth. It is envisioned to be a vibrant mixed-use waterfront village,
bringing commercial space, retail, housing, more public access to the water, as
well as a variety of other public amenities to Kenmore. The community has
already expressed their desire to see open space, public parks, and even more

August 22 - Black Panther @ The Square
Only one summer movie left! See the popular Black Panther movie on a large inflatable screen outdoors at Kenmore Town Square, 6728 N 181st Street. Bring a blanket or low-back chair. Activities will start at 8pm and check here kenmorewa.gov/events for details.

September 15 - Next Coffee with Council
City Council invites all community members and businesses to Coffee with Council on Sat, September 15th at 8am at the Hangar, 6728 NE 181st Street. Come and get to know your City Council! Please note, Council typically does not host coffees during the month of August and will not meet on Labor Day. Follow kenmorewa.gov/calendar for updates.
City Surface Water Fees to Increase
To manage our man-made and natural surface water systems, each parcel in our city is charged an annual service charge fee. Residential parcels are all charged the same flat fee, currently $167.40, shown on your property tax bill. Non-residential parcel fees vary and are currently based on their amount of impervious surface (areas where water cannot enter back into the ground).
