Universal Health Care Commission announces Call for Applications for new advisory committee

Interested in serving on the Finance Technical Advisory Committee? Apply between now and November 30.

Today, The Universal Health Care Commission announces a Call for Applications for their Finance Technical Advisory Committee (FTAC). 

The commission is seeking qualified individuals to serve on the newly established FTAC. Advisory committee members will support the commission by helping with the significant planning, analyses, and evaluation needed to transition to and implement a unified health care financing system.

The FTAC application period is from October 31 to November 30, 2022. 

The commission will consider all complete application materials and appoint FTAC members in December.

Who should apply?

The commission will appoint nine advisory committee members, including:

  • One consumer representative
  • One representative from the Department of Revenue, if possible
  • One representative from the Office of Financial Management, if possible

Other applicants should have subject matter expertise in health care financing, such as:

  • Federal waivers
  • Pharmaceutical costs and spending
  • Universal health insurance
  • Behavioral health financing
  • Medicaid and/or Medicare financing
  • Dental and/or vision benefits costs and financing
  • Provider reimbursement
  • Single-payer revenue and/or payment models
  • Alternative payment models (including value-based payment)
  • Cost sharing, cost containment strategies, and/or pricing
  • Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA)
