To enhance communication and awareness, we are providing GovDelivery notifications to alert Benefits Administrators (BAs) on the details of updates to SEBB My Account (SMA). We believe these notifications will provide better awareness of the developmental efforts to improve SMA and perhaps allow BAs to prioritize issues based on more up-to-date knowledge of the issues being addressed within the program. See below for details on the latest update to SMA implemented Thursday 5/20/21:

We have made updates to the Special Open Enrollment process in SEBB My Account. Subscribers will now use the stepper – just like they do during the Newly Eligible and Open Enrollment processes. They will see the same familiar steps – Adding Dependents, Submitting Documents, Making Attestations, and Make Plan Elections, based on the event type.

  • From the Special Open Enrollment page, the subscriber will select the event type and event date and select the submit button.
  • Based on the event type, subscribers may see a new question “Are you adding dependent(s) as part of this SOE request?”
  • If the subscriber does not see this question, they will be directly presented with the stepper, showing only actions they can take as part of their event. (examples include: Change of address, Change in School District, Dependent Loses Eligibility, and a few others).
  • When the subscriber is asked if they are adding dependent(s):
    • If the answer is Yes, they will be directed into the stepper, and automatically placed into Step 1 – Add Dependents.
    • If the answer is No, they will be directed to the coverage elections page, where they can change their coverage or remove dependents from coverage, based on the event.
  • Once the subscriber has completed the actions per the SOE event, they will use the new “Submit” button, located in the SOE grid where it shows the event they are managing, the status of the event, and when their enrollment period ends. Once the subscriber has submitted the SOE request, the Benefit Admin will now see it on their dashboard to verify. The subscriber will also see that the status of their SOE event has changed from “Draft” to “Submitted.”
