To enhance communication and awareness, we are providing GovDelivery notifications to alert Benefits Administrators (BAs) on the details of updates to SEBB My Account (SMA). We believe these notifications will provide better awareness of the developmental efforts to improve SMA and perhaps allow BAs to prioritize issues based on a more up-to-date knowledge of the issues being addressed within the program. See below for details on the latest update to SMA implemented Thursday 4/22/21:

  • SOE Verification – Added details to SOE verification page, to better display the subscriber’s requested changes as part of the SOE event. Also displays a message if subscriber has not completed any changes.
  • Dependents turning 26 report – Spouse and State-registered domestic partners have been excluded from this report – thanks for the quick feedback!
  • Updating subscriber DOB – Resolved an issue when a DOB was updated in SMA, it appeared to save, but in fact did not update.
  • Spousal Attestation alert – Removed the change alert message for spousal attestation when subscriber is only making an update to the tobacco attestation.
  • Claiming subscriber records – Subscribers who were previously terminated from coverage and are now newly eligible will no longer receive the message stating the record cannot be transferred.
  • Dependents not verified – SMA will automatically deny any dependents upon the expiration of lower limit and remove any pending enrollments.
  • Cobra Subsidy term reason – Added new termination reason “2021 Cobra Subsidy Eligible.” Additional guidance related to the COBRA Subsidy will be available in the very near future.
