To enhance communication and awareness, we are providing GovDelivery notifications to alert Benefits Administrators (BAs) on the details of updates to SEBB My Account (SMA). We believe these notifications will provide better awareness of the developmental efforts to improve SMA and perhaps allow BAs to prioritize issues based on a more up-to-date knowledge of the issues being addressed within the program. See below for details on the latest update to SMA implemented Thursday 2/25/21:

  • A subscriber can now see the denial reason displayed when a dependent’s verification has been denied. On their manage dependents tab, listed for each dependent, they will see displayed denied, and beneath they will see the reason the dependent was denied.
  • Subscribers and dependents who have an ITIN (Individual taxpayer identification number) rather than an SSN will be able to be added into SEBB My Account. Previously, SMA was prohibiting any ITINs to be used as an identifier.
  • When terminating a subscriber, the terminate subscriber button have been changed from the pale grey button to now being green. This is to help further indicate that in order to submit a termination, the terminate subscriber button must be selected in order to save the termination. This update has been made for the transfer button as well.
  • The coverage summary tab for subscribers who waived medical was not displaying any information. This has now been resolved, and all subscribers can see their coverage summary page, as well as download their statement of insurance.
