Corrections to billing file posted in mid-November

We are working on several billing issues, and wanted to notify you that we posted a revised billing file last night. This is a revision of the billing file generated by HCA in mid-November to correct an issue with supplemental long-term disability (LTD) insurance premiums.

You can find the revised billing file (titled 2020-12-10_LTD_Corrected_A600XXX_billing.txt.) in SEBB My Account.

We will address additional corrections to the next regularly scheduled billing file in a separate email.

What was corrected in the billing file posted on December 10?

During the SEBB Program’s open enrollment (October 26 through November 23), some subscribers who enrolled in supplemental LTD insurance for a January 1, 2021, effective date were charged in the billing file posted in mid-November. That billing file is for supplemental LTD coverage starting December 1, 2020. This means that these subscribers were charged one month early for this coverage.

How is this being fixed?

The revised billing file posted on December 10 removed the incorrect percentages (charges) for the supplemental LTD insurance. You may need to take action to correct this if you already deducted (or plan to deduct) these charges from your employees’ paychecks.

The next regularly scheduled billing file will include the correct percentages (charges) for those employees who enrolled in supplemental LTD insurance with a January 1, 2021, effective date.

We know these issues may require extra work by your team, and appreciate your patience as we work to resolve them.
