SEBB My Account Updates

To enhance communication and awareness, below is a GovDelivery notification to alert Benefits Administrators (BAs) on the details of updates to the SEBB My Account (SMA) program. We believe these notifications will provide better awareness of the developmental efforts to improve SMA and perhaps allow BAs to prioritize issues based on a more up-to-date knowledge of the issues being addressed within the program.

  • Some BAs indicated they could not claim a previously enrolled employee due to a blank drop-down menu in the “address fields”.  Resolved: BAs who reported this issue can now add those subscribers.
  • BAs are now able to remove a dependent from coverage through SMA.
    • Removing a dependent from the ‘Manage dependents’ tab will terminate any existing coverage effective 12/31/2020.
    • The dependent will still be visible under ‘Manage Dependents’ but will no longer be listed on the ‘Coverage elections’ page.
    • If the dependent is removed in error, contact Outreach and Training.
  • The ‘Change of address’ SOE’s is not currently being displayed for BAs under SOE verifications. This is being worked on: As soon as this is fixed – we will update you.
