SEBB My Account Update

To enhance communication and awareness, we are now providing GovDelivery notifications to alert Benefits Administrators (BAs) on the details of updates to the SEBB My Account (SMA) program. We believe these notifications will provide better awareness of the developmental efforts to improve SMA and perhaps allow BAs to prioritize issues based on a more up-to-date knowledge of the issues being addressed within the program.

See below for details on the latest updates to SMA implemented Thursday 11/5/2020:

  • An update was made to the system regarding spousal surcharge re-attestations.  Only subscribers who are required to re-attest to the spousal surcharge and who received a notification letter will now see the banner. Subscribers who need to re-attest will see the banner until they make a 2021 attestation during open enrollment; once these subscribers re-attest to the spousal surcharge, the banner will no longer appear to them.  The spousal surcharge re-attestation report has also been updated to only list those subscribers that need to re-attest.
  • SMA will no longer disenroll 2020 coverage for dependents when subscribers elect to remove them from 2021 coverage in open enrollment. This release will take the records previously sent to Pay1 and correct the enrollment for 2020.
  • Some subscriber may have dashes '--' on their last name. HCA is in the process of completing a manual fix for these.  Please do not remove the dashes from the last name. They will be removed once the manual fix is complete.
