Universal Health Care Work Group meeting next week

Next Wednesday, the Universal Health Care Work Group will meet on Zoom. During the meeting, work group members will discuss:

  • Outcomes of actuarial analysis.
  • Remaining work in designing a system of universal health care, including policies, legal and administrative hurdles, financing, and more. This conversation will inform the work group’s deliberations on which model(s) to recommend to the Washington State Legislature.
  • Next steps for the final legislative report.

Want to provide public comment?

Public comments are an important part of our work, and there will be an opportunity to provide comment at the beginning of the meeting. The work group will hear comments on a first-come, first-served basis, and will take as many public comments as time allows.

If you want to provide public comment, you must:

  • Register to attend the meeting by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, September 14, and select:
    • I am a member of the public observing the meeting.
    • Yes, I wish to provide public comment.

How to register

We will post all final materials, including a full recording of the meeting and breakout sessions, on our Universal Health Care Work Group page after the meeting. There will also be an option to provide public comment through an online survey or by contacting our team after the meeting.
