Washington State Prescription Drug Transparency Reporting: Draft Submission Guide

The Health Care Authority (HCA) is writing you with information about the Prescription Drug Price Transparency program.

HCA recently sent you a notification stating we were finalizing the submission guide. We are making a draft version of the submission guide available for your review.

What do I need to do?

Review the submission guide

Review the draft submission guide and email HCA with any feedback by end of day Thursday, July 16.

If you have not already done so…

Please confirm that you are the correct recipient of these notifications by registering as a data reporting entity. If you are not the correct contact in your organization, please forward this to the responsible person so they may register.
Download, complete, and return the submitter registration form.
- Please only submit one registration for your organization including one for each subsidiary or affiliate which meets the definition of a health carrier, covered manufacturer, or pharmacy services administrative organization.
- Once complete, email the form back to HCA.
Please do this as soon as possible but no later than August 1, 2020, as failure to submit registration information could delay your ability to be in compliance with the new legislation.

What can I expect next?

HCA will soon be sending you a drug price transparency (DPT) number. This is a unique number you are required to include as part of your data submission.
- HCA will send you this number via email before August 1, 2020. Specific details of how to incorporate it into your data submission will be outlined in the submission guide.
HCA will send you another letter with the final submission guide on or around Wednesday, July 29.
