Health care workers wanted

Health care facilities are facing staffing shortages and your practical skills and experience are needed. Now more than ever, you can fill a crucial role in the care for those in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, residential care facilities, and long-term acute care hospitals.

The Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) Aging and Long Term Support Administration (ALTSA) is launching a pilot program in collaboration with a national non profit, ADvancing States They will provide a free website for job seekers to connect with healthcare providers across the state who are trying to fill open positions.

If you are interested in employment in the health care field and/or if you have health care experience, the website is a great way to find jobs now. The site will match individuals based on their experience and availability.

The golden thread of documentation for Foundational Community Supports

Join us beginning July 14 for a six-part weekly webinar series that will provide an overview of Foundational Community Supports (FCS) documentation. Each webinar will address specific types of documentation and Medicaid requirements. The series will cover the importance of the connection among assessments, service plans, and progress notes, also known as the golden thread. These webinars are for FCS staff responsible for service provision and documentation. We recommend that participants attend all sessions in the series, as the information presented is cumulative. The training is capped at 100 participants.

Webinars take place Tuesdays from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. on the following dates:
