HCA will accept appeal forms without the employer sections completed

SEBB hot topics icon (orange with flame)

Starting today, HCA will temporarily accept the SEBB Employee Request for Review/Notice of Appeal form without the employer sections completed. Due to the recent COVID-19 directives, some employers have not been available to sign off on the employer decision portion (Sections 4 through 6) of the appeal form. If you are still available, please encourage your employees to follow the current process to get the employer sign off on their appeals whenever possible.

We will post this information to our appeals webpage soon, and encourage you to share this information with your employees as appropriate

Farewell SEBB Update

Today is the last regular installment of SEBB Update. Thank you for your patience and support with the launch of the SEBB Program and the work that continues. We hope these SEBB Updates have been helpful. Going forward, our Outreach and Training team will send out important information via GovDelivery on an as-needed basis.

SEBB My Account adjustments

Here are our most recent updates to SEBB My Account:

  • Subscribers who were previously terminated and claimed again, were temporarily unable to make newly eligible elections. To fix this, we removed the checkbox for ‘Also terminate employment.’ Moving forward, terminating benefits will release the subscriber from the SEBB organization so that they are able to be claimed again, either by a new SEBB organization or the previous organization with a return to eligibility.

In case you missed it

Here are some updates and other emails you may have missed. See all past SEBB Updates.
