National group highlights HCA's Accountable Care Program successes and customer satisfaction

The Washington State Health Care Authority's Accountable Care Program (ACP) has been featured as a case study by a national nonprofit whose mission is to help employers and health care purchasers shift from volume-based to value-based payment.

Catalyst for Payment Reform highlights how HCA designed and implemented the ACP, also known as the health plan option Uniform Medical Plan (UMP) Plus, for public employees and retirees.

UMP Plus members have expressed satisfaction in improved provider coordination, enhanced services, and cost savings. More than 63 percent of UMP Plus members said they would recommend the plan to family and colleagues.

Businesses that purchase health care can download the case study for free by signing up at Catalyst for Payment Reform's website. It is available for purchase for organizations that do not purchase health care.
