CPT codes G0482 and G0483 covered for drug testing

Apple Health (Medicaid) Provider Alert

Effective November 12, 2017, the Health Care Authority (HCA) added CPT codes G0482 and G0483 to the list of codes to be used for definitive drug testing for Washington Apple Health clients receiving medication assisted treatment for substance use disorders.

Codes G0481, G0482 and G0483 will be reimbursed at the same rate.

These program changes are reflected in an updated Physician-Related/Professional Services Billing Guide.
