Resource Portal adds new features to assist practice transformation across Washington

As part of an ongoing commitment to assisting health care transformation across the state, the Healthier Washington Practice Transformation Resource Portal has rolled out several new features offering collaboration tools for health care providers, staff, and practice coaches.

Originally launched in August 2016, the Resource Portal is a web-based tool supporting access to trainings and resources in three major areas: practice transformation, behavioral health integration, and new payment models. The Portal has been specially designed to target the unique needs of small- to medium-sized primary care practices, community health centers, and substance use treatment centers, and provides region-specific resources to ensure needs across the state are being addressed.

The recent addition of My Portal introduces several key features: user accounts, the ability to save, rate, and share resources, and the option to build online teams that support practice transformation offline.

By becoming a registered user with My Portal, health care providers and staff can take their experience with the Resource Portal to a deeper level and gain access to all of the new features being introduced.

Additionally, registered users can join or create My Portal Teams. This feature will support increased collaboration and can be set up using a variety of criteria, including clinical location, shared work roles, or transformation topics. Within Teams, users will be able to interact with other team members, share relevant resources, and engage in protected discussion forums.

My Portal is a new way for providers to amplify connections and share about the practice transformation movement. To learn more about the new features of My Portal, or to become a registered user, visit the Resource Portal’s Learn More page.

The Portal is a resource developed under the Healthier Washington Initiative, a multi-sector partnership led by the state Health Care Authority to transform the health system to achieve better population health, reward high-quality care, and curb health care costs.
