Patient decision aids focused on end of life care are now being accepted for state certification

The Health Care Authority (HCA) is now accepting submissions to certify patient decision aids (PDAs). As part of the Healthier Washington shared decision making initiative, the state certifies tools that can help people engage in health decisions with their health care provider. End of life care is the topic of HCA’s third round of PDA certification.

The submission period will be open from October 2, 2017 until November 17, 2017. HCA is still accepting maternity and labor/delivery patient decision aids any time for consideration for certification.
