A
key opportunity for health care stakeholders will occur on October 19 at the
second annual Healthier Washington Symposium in SeaTac. The symposium is part
of a two-day event, A Commitment to Value, which will focus on ways we can
collectively commit to value-based purchasing, payment, and care delivery, and better
understand our respective roles in moving value-based strategies from concept
to practice.
In
addition to plenary sessions from leaders across the health system, breakout
sessions are designed to stimulate challenging discussions and produce concrete
action items for attendees ready to take next steps. Breakout session topics
include:
- Social
determinants of health
- Social
impact investment and financing approaches
- Consumer
engagement and health literacy
- Shared
decision making
- Adopting
best practices for a value-based delivery system
- Health
equity
A
Purchaser Conference on October 18 will precede the symposium, bringing
purchasers together with providers and other health care stakeholders from
around the state to learn, collaborate and engage about advancing value-based
purchasing.
We
welcome committed individuals to register for one, or both days of the event.
