New Wage Types for Out of State Federal Withholding
Two new wage types have been created to view additional withholding for Oregon and Idaho. Both wage types are included in OR or ID wage type /401 (TX Withholding Tax).
- 9402 Oregon Add. Withholding
- 9403 Idaho Add. Withholding
These wage types are similar to WT 9401 Fed Add Withholding and can be viewed on payroll simulations and payroll results.
New HRMS Action Reasons and Contract Type to Include New Data Definitions in F1 Help
The following selections have been added to HRMS to more accurately capture Project related coding changes:
New Change of Status (UJ) Reason for Actions:
- Project – Extend (21)
- Review Period Complete (22)
New Contract Type:
Work Contract Renamed:
- Project (20) changed to Project – Perm (20)
These changes are a result of work by the HRMS Data Stewards to more accurately categorize and report project appointments.
Revised HRMS Data Definitions in F1 Help
In addition to the new and renamed selections listed above, the following definitions were added/revised in HRMS F1 Help:

New Project Coding Guide
The HRMS Data Stewards have also developed and published a new Project Coding Guide to assist when entering project related actions in HRMS. This new guide provides information on project-related fields and includes over a dozen examples of actions that may occur with project appointments and the applicable coding in each scenario. You can find this new Project Coding Guide listed as a related resource in many of the Personnel Administration action user procedures on the HRMS Support Hub or on the HRMS Data Definitions Resources web page under HRMS Coding Guides and Resources.
WWA Standard Reports
Two Washington Workforce Analytics (WWA) standard reports contain variables that will need to be updated with the renamed work contract “Project – Perm”:
- HPA004 – Diversity New Hires
- HPA005 – HR Management Actions
Until these updates are complete, the report results may not accurately count employees with Project – Perm work contracts in “perm” variables. We will send another communication when these two reports have been updated.
