Different Look to Warrants Causing Concern

As of December 18, 2025, the State of Washington began printing state warrants using a new process with new paper. This resulted in a slightly different look to warrants issued for the December 24 pay date. 

We have been notified that employees and financial institutions may have questions or require confirmation that the warrant is genuine. If you have employees or financial institutions reaching out with concerns, please direct them to contact the Treasurer’s Office using one of the following options:
