Increased Vacation Leave Accruals for State Employees – Monthly Quota Corrections (Non-MyPortal Leave Agencies Only)
Per HB 2246, the annual cap on the accrual of unused vacation leave increased to 280 hours in HRMS. These changes were effective on June 6, 2024. Anniversary dates prior to June 6, 2024, the effective date of the law, are still subject to the current 240-hour cap in HRMS.
For agencies that do not use MyPortal Leave:
- Attached is the monthly spreadsheet for employees who have excess vacation accrual (EVA) that was or will be lost in the month.
- Once an employee’s EVA end date has passed, review vacation and EVA leave balances (Quota Types 31 and 40) using the Attendance System Change Report (ZHR_RPTTM084).
- For employees with an EVA end date that is June 6, 2024, or later, determine the amount of vacation quota that needs to be added back to ensure compliance with the new 280-hour cap rule.
- Make the necessary Quota Corrections and run the ZT60 Time Evaluation to complete the process.
Please see the current month’s spreadsheet and follow the instructions above.
As a reminder, you will receive these monthly EVA communications and spreadsheets until May 2025. After that time, monthly quota corrections will no longer be required.
