Capital Gains Tax Due Date is April 18, 2023
The capital gains excise tax is a 7% tax on the sale or exchange of long-term capital assets such as stocks, bonds, business interests, or other investments and tangible assets. The capital gains excise tax return and payment are due April 18, 2023.
Individuals who receive a filing extension for their federal income tax return and request an extension for their state capital gains return by April 18, 2023, are entitled to the same filing extension for their Washington capital gains tax return. However, a filing extension does not extend the due date for paying the capital gains tax due.

Individuals and families who lost/are losing Apple Health should sign up for a health plan 60 days before or after their Apple Health plan ends to avoid a gap in coverage.
Many people seeking coverage may find high-quality Cascade Care Silver or Gold plans on Washington Healthplanfinder for less than $10 a month. Cascade Care Savings, Washington state’s new premium assistance program, provides additional financial help to individuals and families earning up to 250% of the federal poverty level — that’s up to $34,000 annually for an individual and $70,000 for a family of four.
