New HRMS Online Training Course
OFM is excited to announce the launch of the new eLearning “OFM HRMS Processor Fundamentals”, now available in the Washington State Learning Center. OFM worked with the HRMS Community to develop and finalize this new course. This is the fifth new HRMS course published recently, following the OFM HRMS Basics, OFM Introduction to HRMS Reports, OFM HRMS Functional Overview, and OFM Processor Resources courses that were added over the last couple of years. Work is underway on additional HRMS eLearning courses.
HRMS Processor Fundamentals Content
The new HRMS Processor Fundamentals course is approximately ninety minutes and is recommended for all HRMS users who have processor roles. This course covers an in-depth look at:
- Common buttons that processors will encounter
- Common Transactions that processors will use, including the difference between display, maintain, and action transactions
- Effecting Dating, including retroactivity
Prior to taking the new OFM HRMS Processor Fundamentals course, users should have already completed the OFM HRMS Basics, OFM HRMS Functional Overview, and OFM HRMS Processor Resources courses.
Course participants are asked to complete the course evaluation before they exit the course. The feedback will be critical in the development of additional new HRMS courses. Course certificate is available for printing upon completion of the course.

Removal of Old HRMS Courses
The older HRMS courses were designed to walk end users through transactions step-by step. The trainings were hard to maintain and did not get updated as system changes were implemented. The five new HRMS courses are designed to provide broad information on navigating the system, accessing available tools and resources, and understanding how the system works.
The HRMS Support Hub provides step-by-step instruction on completing tasks in the system via user procedures and other resources. This information is on-demand, easily maintained, accessible, and does not require signing into a training course to get needed guidance.
We are removing the HRMS training courses from the Learning Center that are out of date and non-compliant with accessibility standards. The following courses and associated documents are being removed:
- HRMS Garnishments
- HRMS Organizational Management
- HRMS: New Hire and Rehire
- HRMS: Leave of Absence and Separation
- HRMS: Change of Status and Appointment Change
- HRMS: Create and Maintain Payroll Master Data
- Recurring Deduction Document
- Separation Action Document
- Appointment Change Transfer Document
- New Hire Action Document
- Warrant Cancellation or ACH Reversal Document
- Create or Update Bank Details Document
