2022 Minimum Wage Increase

Effective January 1, 2022, Washington’s Minimum Wage increased to $14.49 per hour. Employees impacted by this increase are those at PS Group (Range) 30, Level (Step) A. An employee who is currently being paid at Range 30, Step A should be identified and moved to Range 30, Step B before Thursday, Jan. 20, 2022 at 8 p.m.

Employees who have a January 1, 2022, periodic increment date (PID) AND are currently at step A should be moved to step B and then their PID action should be processed.

Please note: Beginning January 1, 2022, Range 30, Step B will be considered the new minimum of the salary range.

Identifying Employees

To identify if your agency has employees who are impacted by this increase, run the Employee Basic Pay IT 8 History Report with the following steps and criteria:

  • ZHR_RPTPAIT08
  • Reporting Period – Today
  • Employment Status – Not equal to 0
  • Personnel Area – Your 4-digit Personnel Area
  • Pay Scale Group – 30

Once you have executed your report, you should sort the Level in Ascending Order to identify anyone at Level A.
