We are now accepting Intent to Continue applications. Sites that have been hosting at least one member for two months this year and have no serious non-compliance issues can apply. All current sites received an email with details on Tuesday, January 21. If you are interested hosting members in the Fall, we encourage you to apply early.
Our 2025-26 Request for Applications - available to new and current sites - will open later this month. Learn about program updates, ask questions, and get support with your application at:
Lunch and Learn | February 5 @ 11:30 am Weekly ITC Q & A Session | Thursdays @ 11:30 am Weekly Program Overview for RFA Applicants | Fridays @ 11:30 am
Please join us at an upcoming session and share the opportunity to learn more with organizations that could benefit from hosting AmeriCorps members. For WSC sites, we’ll continue to offer our referral raffle. When a site you refer applies, lists your organization on their application, and is awarded, you'll be entered into a raffle for a discount on your member placement fee.
Next Steps: Plan for Success
Have you explored our new Life After AmeriCorps Planning Checklist? It's always a smart move to start planning ahead. Take this opportunity to review our planning checklist, and craft a professional development plan for the rest of your term.
Each year during AmeriCorps Week, AmeriCorps members and alums are recognized and celebrated for the commitment they made to serve their country, and the impact they've made through national service.
This year, AmeriCorps Week will be March 9-15. Site staff, this is a great time to highlight your members on your socials and website, and share how they're helping the community you serve. You and your members might also plan a service project that your city mayor, council members and your local District representatives can participate in and learn more about AmeriCorps in their own "backyard".
Check out AmeriCorps' toolkit for more ideas and free shareable graphics.
A huge thank-you to everyone who planned and participated in MLK Day of Service. Members and community volunteers mobilized to pick up trash, plant trees, paint signs, serve food, and so much more.
Our next Day of Service is just around the corner: March 31 is Cesar Chavez Day. This Federal Commemorative Holiday was proclaimed by President Barack Obama in 2014. Cesar Chavez was an American labor rights hero. In 1962, he co-founded the National Farm Workers Association with Dolores Huerta. By promoting service, we honor his work to fight for economic justice and empower communities that have been historically disenfranchised.
If you'll be hosting an event for Cesar Chavez Day of Service, share it with us by submitting a Days of Service form. We’ll begin posting your projects in early March on our Cesar Chavez Day of Service page.
