Tracking hours

Members, as many of you are already 2-3 months into your service term, now is the time to use our service hours tracker to make sure you stay on track to complete the minimum number of required hours for your term (your most recent approved timesheet will reflect total hours served to date).

If your position will be impacted by holiday site closures, start making your alternative service plan now with your site staff, and complete FRM-122 with each alternative service site.

Due Jan 31

Site staff, member evaluations are due by January 31. Schedule time with your member to review progress made toward goals, including site- and career-related trainings, and any additional support they may need from you to succeed in their position.

If you haven't done so already, help them create a professional development plan for the remainder of their term.

MLK Day is fast approaching! As the only federally recognized National Day of Service, we look forward to our sites and members coordinating events that help get their local community involved in helping each other. Keep in mind an event doesn't have to be a big production! It can be a food drive, a coat drive, or a school book drive.

AmeriCorps has expanded their free MLK toolkit with graphics, messaging and social media templates to help you get the word out about your project and call for volunteers.

Reminder -- first quarter project reports and member stories are due by December 15. We appreciate you submitting early!

Member meet-up event

Members, following up on the invitation you received from our AmeriCorps Leaders, Nicole and Zoie, we'll be hosting our first virtual member gathering of the program year on December 13, 3:00-5:00pm. This will be a fun team-building event with trivia and surprise games!

If you're able to attend, plan in advance with your site staff, and RSVP here by December 8. Check your email for the meeting link on December 9.
