WA Cares Fund: Have you refunded any collected premiums?
Remember: If you withheld WA Cares premiums, you need to reimburse employees as soon as possible. The law mandates that all premiums must have been refunded to employees within 120 days of Jan. 19, 2022.
The Employment Security Department (ESD) won’t accept any WA Cares premium payments in 2022.
Paid Leave: It's time to report for Quarter 2
Quarter 2 reporting takes place in July.
- Log in to your Paid Leave account.
- Submit your report and payment if you had payroll for this quarter.
- Before you log out:
- Review your reports under the Wage Submission History tab.
- Check if you have rejected reports that need attention.
- Make sure a report has been submitted and successfully processed for each quarter you had payroll.
- Check to see if you have a balance or credit on your account under the payments tab.

Quarterly UI Tax and wage reports are also due in July. Liable employers must submit a tax report every quarter, even if there are no paid employees that quarter and/or taxes are unable to be paid.

Additional SOC code webinars scheduled
Do you have questions about Standard Occupational Classification (SOC) codes? Due to popular demand, we have scheduled three additional SOC code webinars this summer!
SOC is a federal coding system that helps government agencies and private businesses compare occupational data.
All employers will be required to report SOC codes when they submit their quarterly tax reports starting with their fourth quarter 2022 report.
Reporting SOC codes is currently optional and is available only to those filing for a single employer.
